About Me

I’m a software engineer with four years of professional experience, primarily focused on backend development using Symfony and PHP. Over the past two years, I’ve also worked full-stack with React, Redux, and related technologies on production systems. I’m passionate about problem-solving, clean code, and collaborative teamwork. I thrive in Agile environments where knowledge is shared, and I enjoy learning from others as much as contributing myself. My interest in technology started young, fuelled by a love of mathematics and a natural curiosity about how things work — and that’s still what drives me today. I’m always looking to deepen my skills, explore new technologies, and work on meaningful software that solves real problems.

Skills

Experienced in python, very comfortable with making use of selection, iteration and sequencing, along with various data structures.

Comfortable with creating HTML pages, along with assigning appropriate classes and IDs to further customise elements.

Capable at using CSS to design websites.

Able to use bootstrap in conjuntion with vanilla CSS to make responsive websites.

Familiar with using the git command line to navigate directories and create files.

Adept at using DOM manipulation, along with the same skills as, to manipulate the HTML and CSS of a web page.

To-do list

My implementation of a to do list using HTML, CSS and Javascript.

Makes use of local storage, to retain the tasks entered in a previous session.

Displays tasks in separate HTML sections based on the "status" entered.

Allows the user to create new tasks (while validating their inputs).

Also allows editing of those tasks, and deleting them with with the pencil and bin icon (respectively) on each task card.

Pygame project

My implementation of a simple turnbased RPG game using python and pygame.

Uses WASD controls, with the green square being the player character.

Makes use of OOP to create Players, Enemies and the Map.

Map is represented as a 2d array, with each inner list representing a row, and each element representing a single square in the map.

Map is randomly generated with rooms and corridors, accepting a width, height and number of rooms as parameters.

Battle system is implemented in the console, beginning when the player and enemy enter adjacent squares. The player can attack or heal until the player or enemy lose.

If the player wins, a new map and enemy is generated. Otherwise, the game quits.
